Woodland

Story

Our main red fabric came from a garage sale in Nice. We were looking for a newsagent to buy a cold Diet Coke, and stumbled on a trove of clothing, books - and boxes of delicately patterned French fabrics.

The deer came from a store with dozens of animal print cut offs and roll ends. Berries were in a charity shop with a matching white colour way (but the black was better looking).

Our woodland cushion, item 1 of 5 for our first batch (and the first one we completed). Patches were drawn and measured on the floor, then pieced together over 2 weeks.

Label drawn by us in a rollerball in an old sketchbook, and cleverly transferred onto a woven tag.
